I am sorry If I annoy all of you  with all of my questions. But I have to know about this.

Over the weekend, I decided I wanted to move my rock and corals around so that I could fit some more corals in there.  I also bought a hammer head and a fox coral.  Well, After I moved things around I noticed that there was like a string of slime coming from my hammer head and my frilly mushrooms.  Also, a guy from Aquatic D0reams told me that my salinity was low and that if I put some salt in a glass and put in in front of my powerhead, that it would just dissolve.  The salt did not dissolve and went all over my corals.  The new pink tipped anenomes that I bought from CoreyK over the weekend look terrible.  I tried to get as much of the salt off of them as I could but They all look bad. (Except for my hammer head.)  I also noticed that my water is pretty cloudy.  I did a water change on Saturday early afternoon and it still looks like crap.  I dont know what to do and I dont know if they are dead or what.  Can somebody help. b I cannot post pics because I do not have a digital camera.(sorry)

Thanks,

Tyler

Sorry to hear about your problems.  I can't imagine anyone, with any knowledge, to advise you to put salt directly into your tank.  One should always add diluted salt/water slowly so that the salinity is not abruptly changed.  It kind of reminded me of when I was a kid in the 1950's living on Guam.  There were thousands, maybe millions of snails on the roads after the rain.  They were so thick that you could not walk across the road without stepping on many of them.  Anyway, we use to pour salt on them to kill and keep them away from our houses.  Concentrated salt can be really bad.  Good luck with your corals.  They may come out just fine in time.

Did those mushrooms ever open up?

The slime you saw is normal, but salt crystals can give 3rd degree burns.

Remove the anemones immediately, put them in a container of 50/50 tank and fresh saltwater and call me asap.

I'm sure they ment to put them in a cup with waterflow over the cup not into the cup which caused them to blow all over.  The idea is to have a gentle flow in the cup.  Just a miscommunication error.  I hope they all recover.
