I'm looking for a local business that sells aluminum (angle, square, etc.).  I'm going to be building a light box for my VHOs and Halides.

Anyone have a recommendation?

HD sells it, but it is pricey.

Try Affiliated metals.  They are a wholesale operation but you might be able to get some drops or something.  They will be much, much cheaper than HD and better material.

Thanks for the replies.

I went by Home Depot, but they didn't have what I was looking for.  As it turns out, I went by MetalMart and they recommended Affiliated Metals also.  I was told Affiliated Metals is the local distributor of aluminum to pretty much all of the local metal shops.

I'll swing by there soon and see what I can find.

How are you fabricating the light box, welding, rivets, glue, screws, bending it?  If you need a place to use some tools, you are welcome here.  I have a sheetmetal brake and a tig among all the regular tools.

However, I am in Cache valley so distance may be a limiting factor.

Why not fabricate the light box from Mirrored Aluminum?
