Has anyone done any business with Indo-Pacific Seafarm? http://www.ipsf.com/#anchor50240 - http://www.ipsf.com/#anchor50240   I am thinking of ordering the coraline algae booster and a few of the basic life supporting things like the mud to seed my start up of LBTR and Oolitic sand.  Anyone have an opinion?

They are a great company, and great products.  But I have a difficult time buying things (for a high price) that I either don't need or can get free from club members.

I agree 100% with Adam. You may not realize it yet, but you have stumbled onto the greatest resource in the world for starting a reef aquarium. And one visit with one of us will convince you. And it's mostly free!

My door is always open to reefers. Please call to get some help and possibly arrange a visit so I can share LS, LW, LR, Macroalgae and loads of helpful information with you.

Mark,

Great!  Thank you so much for the generousity - I hope to be able to return it one day to someone else.

I'm already looking at refugium plans and would like to do a 'tour' of the closed loop systems folks have.  There is something about a refugium that I really like.

Angel;

How often do you do water changes?  For 3 years i was doing water changes only 1 time every month, and like you i never had Coraline in my tank,  but ever since i started to do 5 gal water changes on my 55 EVERY WEEK, i started growing Coraline after 2 straight months of water changes.  I can thank Dion (holdencraft33) for that tip.  Now this may be more often than necessary but my corals and fish have never been so happy... good luck...Rhine

Rhine, I would like to ask what you think was lacking that lots of new saltwater has provided?
