I just got a Hippo Tang. I would like to know if anyone has any dietary tips for keeping a happy Hippo. I have heard some contradicting stories about romain lettuce. I am currently feeding  frozen brine shrimp, marine fish flake food and formula one.

They will eat almost anything.  They even eat poop.  With romane lettuce its good to freeze it first to break down the celulose, because their insides can't do it very well.  Lettuce probably doesn't have much dietary value to them though.  Dryed sushi seaweed is a good one.

I get the dried sheets of seaweed at the local chinese supply store - my tangs seem to be very fat and happy with that.
