I just want to hook up a couple of 6v computer fans to cool A/V receiver.  I saw them at NPS and just need to to know how to go from mini computer tip to ac plug.  I know I can just buy gizmo at radio shack that is 6v, but how do I go from plug that would go to device to 2 prong mini computer end.
Thanks
Kirk

I used 60mm computer fans to make a diy cooling system for my nano.  I just cut off the 2 pin connector from the fan, the adapter end from the 12v transformer. Then I soldered them both together and covered the join with heat shrink tubing.

The simplest is as Bean said, just cut off the connect, and wire it to the AC wall wart transformer.  Get a 6 volt transformer that will put out double the amperage of one of the fans, and then go from the wires on the transformer to each fan.  Just connect to one fan, plus an extra set of wires that will go to the other fan.
