I picked up a frag of this coral a month or two ago, and though it seems to be doing well (not dying), I've had trouble getting it to attach to anything. I did superglue (gel) it to some live rock, but the coral is so thin, that the waterflow easily knocks it down. There just doesn't seem to be enough surface area to get it glued on well. I just set it on top of some live rock for now, but I doubt it will attach that way. Any ideas? Thanks!

It will attach by just setting it on a rock.  If it's where you want it to be just leave it.

I would recommend 2 part epoxy.

You don't have to stand it on its end. You can glue the back side to a rock, it will attach.

Thanks for the ideas. Admin/presidency to the rescue huh? You guys are awesome. I don't think it will attach if I just lay it on the live rock, because the water and hermits tend to rock it too often. I think I will go with Jake's idea, since I'd really like to create an overhang effect with it. 2 part epoxy it is. Thanks again!

I had the exact some problem with attaching the piece I picked up from the meeting. I used 2 part epoxy, but it wouldn't stay. I finally stuck it in a big gob, but it still floated off the next morning, so I gave up and its just sitting on the rock near the edge. So I'll hopefully be able to report whether or not it finally attaches on it's own.
