So my r.o. system is hooked to a auto top off in my tank and also a holding tank when they fill the floats turn off the r.o. water the problem is that the discharge line always runs i was told to hook a r.o storage tank to the system for back presure i did that still no help any ideas? thanks

Sounds like your back pressure valve is broke. Follow your drain line back to the RO unit. The plastic housing that it slides into is the back pressure valve.
