The message board is back up. Unfortunately we have lost the posts from yesterday. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
For those who care let me give a quick synopsis of the web site outage. Last night starting at 11:45 PM I tried to upgrade the database to a new version in hopes that it would help speed up the website. I made multiple attempts at upgrading it and each time the threads would not match up correctly. The last attempt at I made at ~5:00am work at least I thought it did. This morning I received a call from Adam and I soon determined that it had drop the last 30 days of posts. This morning I decided to revert back to the backup I made before the conversion attempts. I soon discovered that the backup was corrupted and after a few hours of attempts to restore the corrupted data I decided to restore from a tape backup that was done the night before. I have determined the cause of the problems last night and my next attempt (which will probably happen in the next few weeks) should be successfully.
