OK-- so I couldn't resist the beautiful yellow and black shells....

But then I came home, with the buggers in tote, and started to read about them....

Ummm---- Did I make an OOPS? By placing them in the tank???  Is seems to me that they are carnivores-- not herbivores...

Any experiences?  Thoughts?

HELP!!!!

Ryan

P.S.  They have only been in the tank for a day so I can't really point out any behaviors on my part yet.

How many do you have and how big is your tank.  My mother had about 10 in a 20 gallon nano and never had any problems with them. They were fun to try to spot since they were very different from the rest of the snails.

I would say keep them unless you notice some major problem.  I would expect them to eat leftover meaty foods and maybe help clean up dead fish, but I would be surprised if they harmed a coral or anything else for that matter.

I have 3 in a 37g and I have not noticed any problems.  The only thing I have noticed is that they seem to be reclusive.  Since they are a little bit smaller, they can fit into some pretty small nooks and crannies.  Even when searching for them, I may only be able to spot one.
