mine shrivel up when they go poopoo. this may be the case. i am not sure what is going on in the center of yours, is that sand? it is one of two things...dying or pooping.

what kind of filtration do you have. in my tank i would leave it until i am positive it is dead. but i also have a 300g system with a huge skimmer and 50g deep sand bed. it all depends on whether your system can handle it if it dies, and whether you really think its dead. how long has it been?

I have a 120 gal with a 40 gal sump/ref. And a G3 ASM skimmer.. I actually would like to get rid of it and get my Rose anemone to move to it's spot...

well i would keep an eye on it. if it doesn't look better in a day then remove it. but good luck getting your RBTA to move into its spot. the BTA will most likely move until its happy, even if you put it in what you think is a good spot.

Have you wafted it, I mean pushed a current of water on it to see if that sandy looking stuff will blow away?
The tentacles look okay, but I'm really curious whether that sand will blow off.
If it were me. I'd waft it with my hand and then touch it to see just what it is. If you have never touched an anemone, this is not the best way to start, but it needs to be done. Touching anemones is fun.Smile They mostly just pull at you and only the rare person actually feels a little sting.
Please tell us what happens.

Please do.  My condy did the same thing today after it tried to eat a fuzzy mushroom.  I got the mushroom out and about an hour later it looked like yours.
