i think we should have a place in our profile to put pictures of our tanks that away we dont get so many picture threads of tanks and people replying to them and make them 100 pages. i'm not talking about build threads either just picture threads. so if someone wants to see your tank they can just click on your profile.

Good idea however then I can't comment on them! I like the picture threads because it allows you to comment and discuss with the owner how they have setup everything!

maybe like a thread in the profile that the user can edit them self to keep it cleaned up as needed

One thing to keep in mind...The forum (including the "profiles") is a product we are using. It is not something we created ourselves. Jake is awesome and CAN do it. If we make changes to the "code/database" of the forum, it can make upgrading it difficult.
But, rest assured...We (the presidency) will certainly discuss this along with all the other suggestions...We love suggestions!

We discussed this topic at our last presidency meeting. As always we
appreciate suggestions from our members. These suggestions help make
our club and this website better.
As Shawn mentioned above putting a picture section in the profile would make for a lot of work, but since we love the idea of easy ways to access members photos we came up with a couple other suggestions.
WMAS has a facebook page and we will gladly accept pictures from members that they would like posted to our facebook page to share with others.
You can set up albums on any site you would like and then put the link to that site in your signature line. That way it would be as easy to get to your photo album(s) as if they were in your profile.
Also, we love the picture threads. Please don't stop posting them, these are just suggestions of other ways to share your photos.
