I have been reading about this stuff for a couple of days and am thinking about using it.

If it were me, I would ask myself these questions. What are my plans? What am I trying to do for this tank? It's a nitrate-phosphate reducer you run in a reactor. Its solid vodka dosing. Bugzme, I have heard if you call Warner Marine they will sell you a bag. This guy and others are doing it with raw white rice. It's just solid carbon dosing with large surface area for bacteria to colonize.

Thanks Sterling. I have been reading those threads also. I like the idea of dumping the reactor water straight into the skimmer area. I called and talked to Jon warner! Wow what a nice guy!!! The cost is $65.00 for 1 liter shipped! Mine will be here friday.

Got my pellets and reactor today! They have to soak in r/o water for 2 days and then I will start running them. It's actually pretty close now! I'm makinfg some shaded areas for my chalice. I'm going to be using a brs reactor with the sponges replaced with holey plastic.
