Well, since my sixline always has a full belly, and since I fw dipped a couple of frags the other day and the number of red planaria that fell off dead was so much more than was visible at first glance, and since I keep seeing more and more of these pesky critters, anyone have some flatworm exit they would sell me cheap or something? With instructions?

I have the same problem, here is a link to a place you can buy it online.
I'm going to call around today and see if I can find some local for comparable price.

Are you sure that you want to use it at this point. It only works half the time and the other half it kills coral and fish.
Have you followed all the steps of the natural eradication method posted last year, or maybe it was in 2003 ?

Mark, who here on this board has lost corals or fish when using flatworm exit? Keep in mind that if you have a ton of flatworm and kill them all, they release toxins into the water, so its important to siphon off the dead worms.

Yeah, I read up on the instructions today. I'll do what I can for the tank when I use the stuff, but they are really getting obnoxious right now.

I'm about to dose some too. Let me know how your treatment turns out. Thanks Nate!

My only advice (I've never used the stuff, but I've read many posts from people who have and had it work ok for them) is to error on the side of overdose. I'm not saying to overdose, just be sure to add enough to kill 'em all. The idea with this stuff is to make your water as toxic as possible (to flatworms at least and likely other critters too) and then clean it up as quickly as possible. Where people have gotten in trouble is when they don't give their tank a full dose and it doesn't kill all the flatworms and/or don't quickly clean the water up (carbon, etc). And it appears that there are some flatworms that are resistant to the stuff.

I think I'm going to take all my corals and cleanup guys out of the tank (good thing I have 500 gallons of saltwater downstairs!), take each rock out and dip it to get as much of them off as possible, reaquascape my rock, dose flatworm exit, and lastly carbon/waterchange.
While I'm at it, I'm going to get the rest of those darn pest palythoas of of the rocks they're on.
This is going to be a huge chore - who wants to help?

I used it .. and it worked fine. I did have to dose my tank a second time a week later though.
I also noticed tonight that ryan up at aquatic dreams has some on the shelf.

I thought I would just append to this post instead of creating a new one.
Recently I have discovered that I have flatworms in my tank. Not very many right now (I have to hunt for them in the back or sides of my tank where there is lots of algea). I assume I got them from one of my favorite LFS because they have them in their sps tank. Anyway, what is best, get rid of them now before they have a chance of becomming a nusence, or letting them go for now and see if my tank will keep them in check?
So far my fish seem to be willing to eat them (at least my clown fish will when I suck them out with a tube and let them loose in the current).
What is the disadvantages of having them. The ones I know of are 1, they proliferate like mad and most people think they are ugly, 2, they can harm a tank if they die off in large numbers. Any other disadvantages?
Thanks

Any other disadvantages?
if you trade or sell you could give them to someone else

Check the thoughts presented in a thread on the same subject just recently regarding the use of "Greenex" to rid flatworms. (search for greenex in topic headings)
