i am almost ready to start my 120 rimless DT with basement sump and frag tank. i am looking for experiences and suggestions.
first question is about heaters. my sump is roughly a 60 gallon, that will operate around 30 gallons, and i plan on a frag tank around 30 gallons. i have 1 200w jager heater, would 1 more 200w jager be enough? i also have an apex that i will be controlling them with, so i would like to be on the overkill side.
second question is manifold design. i am gonna run a reeflo external pump, and most of the pumps that will do the head pressure i need are massive, so i will have plenty of flow to run reactors and my frag tank.
thanks to eric@aquarium creations, dion@richinscarpentry, and tyler@eliteaquatics. all of there work is top notch.

not sure if i should do a finex 800w to heat my system or just get a 300w jager and pair it up with my 200w jager?? i read some pretty bad reviews about finex heaters, it seems to be the only titanium heater that you don't have to pay a bunch for an included controller.

my first swing at sketchup... gonna make an order from brs tomorrow and wanted to know what gate/ball valves to pick up. manifold/general layout comments and suggestions?? i'll probably have 1 aux line next to the 2 reactors for expansion.
figured 1 ball valve between sump and external pump, gate valve after tee on the way upstairs. ball valves for reactors (3x)

That would make it easier to get to the filter sock and cal reactor... I draw that up again.

Looks awesome! If you still have the option, I'd pull the carpet around the footprint of the stand and put down tile. Just my opinion having had a tank on carpet, never will again.

i am planning on doing tile this weekend. i just moved in and there is tile around a fireplace directly across the room. i found a box of leftover tile, and it is exactly enough to set my stand on..

I really like the second to last pic (eric's suggestion) and gives me more room for a sink

just about done framing the basement of my house and doing rough plumbing (3/4 bath, and wet bar) my fish room access is going to change. size will remain the same, but doors will be in different places. because of this it looks like the last model (stacked) will work the best. i will measure where the door will be and update the model. also will have drains and utility sink... now i will need help designing water change station
