I don't have the general name for them, but the Scientific name is Ilyanassa obsoleta.  Are these ok for my reef tank, or should I avoid them.  I have looked them up, and have found no information on reef compatability, however, they are claimed to be the most prolific marine gastropod in florida.

I could be wrong, but I believe these are a type of Nassarius Snail.  If so I think they are great for your sand bed and very fun to watch during feeding time.

I have a bunch in my reef tank 1500+ and they do a great job.  Never hurt anything.
