They have a new shaftless impeller and use half the wattage of the older models. They also have better startup and can be run with a wavemaker or controller with better results. They also have a better range of motion on the ball and socket joint than the previous models.]]>

I hope that they are better quality than the originals, though they were good for their price point. I am glad that they are continuing to improve and make new products. This will keep them in the market for a very long time. I like the looks of them for sure. Looks like they even bumped up the flow to 1400 on the "koralia 4" size.<br><br>Are they supposed to be able to wave controllable?<br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.utahreefs.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=2020">Aquaristnewbie</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 39244<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> March&nbsp;06&nbsp;2010 at 3:11pm<br /><br />Just received the new Koralia powerheads. &nbsp;I put two in my 29 and thet seem pretty cool. &nbsp;Much smaller and work great. &nbsp;The new suction cups seem to work well without the magnet although I have the magnet on still. &nbsp;Hopefully they are better than the old, and so far they seem to be. &nbsp;I am interested to see how they do on a controller since that seems to be one of the major new fixes. &nbsp;Just thought I would share with everyone.]]>
