IMO no, It would prob be ok for some one just starting out but that isnt a fixture for long term use, you get what you pay for. I think you would be much Happier with a good T5 fixture, This set up will grow Acro,chalices,Zoa, SPS,LPS with amazing color, You can arrange the bulbs for desired color as well as growth, TEK and ATI have great fixtures and look into ATI bulbs to round out the spectrum. Th

Lighting can get a bit confusing. For a 65 gallon tank with just softies T5 high output lighting should be fine. I would recomend a 4 bulb fixture. Most will come with 2 10k whites and 2 actinic blues. This is a good starting point for a beginer.
