I bought an older EuroReef RS-80.  (The one I broke in half and had to glue back together.) It didn't come with the elbow pipe that connects the skimmer to the pump.  I cant seem to find a replacement anywhere.  I was thinking of just attaching a regular elbow or 45 degree fitting from Home Depot and using flexible tubing to connect it to the skimmer.

Anyone forsee this being a problem?

So it has the straight PVC pipe sticking out now?
If you can eliminate the elbow it would be beneficial to performance, the elbows actually hinder performance,
You can mount the pump in a vertical position if you have room and attach it directly

That is a very good point.  I will try that when I get home.

Oh, One other thing.  The rubber seal that goes on the skimmer tube where the pump connects.  Seems really loose and Ive noticed the same thing on my ASM G1x (leaks bubbles) Anyone know of a good way to fix this?

Does anyone know if gluing this rubber seal to the skimmer will have negative effects?

Thanks,
Jeff

Nevermind.  Teflon tape did the trick.
