I'm having trouble calibrating my ph probe and need some help.

The ph in my tank has been a bit high and causing my apex alarm to go off,  Everything was looking great and happy so wasn't too worried, tested alk and calc and was within acceptable tolerances.

I figured my ph probe had started reading incorrect and needed calibration.

I got 7 and 10ph caliberation packets.  I've done it a few times and still seems to be off.  I even timed it to sit in one packet for two min and then the other for two min.

PH shows 7.94 when I do a ph test kit shows ~8.2.  The probe is about 2 years old.

Thoughts suggestions?

either their site or reefgeek's site says probes are only good for a year or two , and calibrations are needed around every 6 months....

ugh I was afraid of that.

Has anyone heard of a proper calibration procedure, how long to leave in each solution?
