So normally I have a bit of a micro bubble problem from adding water or changing my sock. The last few days my 120 pump has been really loud, as if its sucking air but the sump is full... its a dry pump, placed behind my sump so its hard to get to. I am panicing a bit... what should I do/check/change. Ill update with the type of pump in a bit, I do know its a little giant, not sure of model yet.

Texting would be great as I will be shoulder deep in the bottom compartment of my stand!
THANKS

Yeah I would pull it out and clean it really good . I usually pull my return pump out every few months and take it apart and clean it really well. I always have some cheato or calurpa stuck in side of it that I am sure reduces flow ..

I can't get to it... my husband put it such a place that its pretty secure. It happened just within the last 24 hours too. So there is no flow in the sump, pump is running loud, dursos are sucking air (but no air in the sump... weird) maintank is low, sump is full. I agree it needs to be cleaned... just dont know how to do it...

I don't know if it's possible, but if you can't reach the pump, maybe you can reach enough of the plumbing and modify it to pump vinegar water through it? If it hasn't been cleaned lately, this is probably the cause.

Any chance a snail got in it?

No chance of any critters getting in. I am thinking it needs a cleaning too. There is a check valve, and 2 quick connects on either end of the pump, I just can't reach it.. I might just have to leave it till tomorrow when my husband gets home from work. I can't modify anything to be able to run any outside liquids...
