Longtime WMAS Member, Ross Bagshaw is wondering if there is an economical LED fixture that could replace a 14,000K 150 W MH? Though Ross does not use this forum, many of
you may know Ross and Carolyn Bagshaw. They bring the refreshments for
every meeting. Carolyn actually bakes those delicious chocolate eclairs
and cookies. This is for their 180 gal, 6' long tank. Ross would be happy if he could find 3 economical LED fixtures that could take the place of his 10 year old 3 x 150 W MH fixture in which he runs 14K bulbs. Maybe define economical? What's the budget. ------------- 150 gal reef with 50 gal sump. Reef Octopus DCS-200 Skimmer. AI Sol Blues. |

Would be great to help them out, but even a DIY set of simple kits with not a lot of color combinations, but dimmable would come to $600 bucks, not to mention the labor and hanging hardware. |

Thanks for the responses. Yeah, I know good LED's are still pricey and the first one that came up in the Reef Breeders Value page at $179 is way more than he wants to spend for just one when he needs three. I posted in the buy-sell-trade section looking for 3 ballasts to replace his old worn out MH 3 ballast unit. I suspect this is going to be the most economical route.
