2 yrs ago I had an aggregate anemone that I thought had basically suffocated this guy. I was so broken hearted. Recently, I took to the task of maintaining my tank as my husband recovered from his surgery. Long story short after 3 significant disasters I've concluded that a new larger tank is the way to go. Yay me. I started to move certain rocks around an I found him at the very bottom of my tower. ALIVE of all things! What a huge blessing after all of the frustration.
