The black plastic connectors used for sprinkler drip irrigation have worked well for me. They are soft enough plastic with a flange which can be made to give a pretty good seal or siliconed for an absolute seal.<span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by Mark Peterson</span>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.utahreefs.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=96">jfinch</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 1306<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> November&nbsp;20&nbsp;2003 at 8:59pm<br /><br /><P>Anyone have any novel ways to break the syphon created when the pump from your sump stops?</P><P>I&nbsp;can place the return just barely under the surface and let it break after syphoning a small amount.&nbsp; This is the way I've always done it, but I'd like to extend the return(s) down lower in the tank I'm setting up now, so this solution is out.</P><P>I've drilled small holes in the pipe right at the point where it drops into the water, but I think this will lead to a lot of salt creep (spray).&nbsp; I think this method will work ok if I could direct the spray down.&nbsp; Maybe a small 1/8" tubing elbow or somthing???&nbsp; Any other suggestions?</P><P>How are you doing it?</P>]]>
