    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.utahreefs.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=2852">jcom</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 39006<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> February&nbsp;26&nbsp;2010 at 2:30pm<br /><br /><P>You can buy the Mardel test strips at most LFS stores.&nbsp; They will tell you Nitrate, Nitrite, Alk and Ph (the Ph&nbsp;is unreliable IMO).&nbsp; Not perfect but it will give you the basics.&nbsp; Fish&nbsp;4 U has them or they'll to a test for free.&nbsp; They will also test Ca, Mag, etc for about $2 each.&nbsp; I would recommend&nbsp; testing ammonia as well since you're just getting it running.</P>]]>
