I got the same ones on my rock. I also got my rock
out of florida. They are a filter feeder and they are
pretty cool I have two in the front of my tank about the
sive of a fist and a million more every where else but

I have some bivalves in my tank similar to this. They came on my tampabay saltwater rock. They have lived a year so far, but I really don't know what they eat. Probably phyto. It's hard to tell but it may be an arc clam or some kind of oyster.  Is it a hitchhicker that came on the rock?  Do you know where the rock was collected?

Looking for some help in identification of what I couldn't believe has been in my tank:

I took this picture after the lights went out.  you can see the shell along with the volcano shaped opening along the upper left of the shell.  I'm wondering what type of bivalve this is and necessary care.  I believe I've been doing things right so far.
