Author: Kevin
Subject: 4942
Posted: February 18 2005 at 1:21pm

I thought I would just append to this post instead of creating a new one.

Recently I have discovered that I have flatworms in my tank. Not very many right now (I have to hunt for them in the back or sides of my tank where there is lots of algea). I assume I got them from one of my favorite LFS because they have them in their sps tank. Anyway, what is best, get rid of them now before they have a chance of becomming a nusence, or letting them go for now and see if my tank will keep them in check?

So far my fish seem to be willing to eat them (at least my clown fish will when I suck them out with a tube and let them loose in the current).

What is the disadvantages of having them. The ones I know of are 1, they proliferate like mad and most people think they are ugly, 2, they can harm a tank if they die off in large numbers. Any other disadvantages?

Thanks
