What temp does the tank run at? Do you do water changes on this tank, if so how often? What is your nitrate level? High nitrates can cause corals to brown out.]]>

All parameters look good to me. I'd leave it in a nice lit section, don't move it around and just give it the TLC it needs. Based on the photo, it doesn't look like a problem, but make sure it's getting nice erratic flow. A lot of people make the mistake of thinking SPS need lots of flow, which they do, but it needs to be erratic, not just a straight stream blasting them.<br /><br />Love to see people go for the rescue of the coral. Keep us updated on it's progress!]]>

How long have they been in there? Most of the SPS frags I see in the tank are brown. Are you getting any polyp extension from the original browned out coral? What size are he Koralias you have? Do you have close up pics of SPS that have been in your tank for a while that are showing good color?<br /><br />Also, can you answer BobC63's questions above especially the size of ph's, parameters, and skimmer?<span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by Snowsrfr - September&nbsp;25&nbsp;2011 at 2:19pm</span>]]>

What is your lighting schedule for the halides and PCs?</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>4) Water parameters are the most important thing when keeping SPS. They are notoriously finicky. Not only do they need to be in a certain range, more importantly they need to be kept very stable. Also, you may want to invest in a carbon reactor (more efficient)</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>I have had some SPS brown out despite my efforts, but certainly not every time I added new ones. Many never lost their colors at all.
