Maybe if he were much bigger. The smallest fish I have are some green chromis (about an inch long) and he hasn't shown any interest in them. I did have a little green banded goby that I'm afraid he did eat. I didn't catch him in the act, but I haven't seen the goby for several weeks, which is highly unusual. Really, with any lionfish I've always understood that they'll eat any moving animal they can fit in their mouth. As long as their tank mates are bigger than that they should be left alone since lions are quite peaceful.<span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by Deluxe247 - October&nbsp;20&nbsp;2011 at 12:30pm</span>]]>

Its tank mates are: 2 clowns, yellow coris wrasse, 6 line wrasse, coral banded shrimp, peppermint shrimp, loads of snails and hermit crabs, horseshoe crab. He has never been aggressive towards anything in my tank. However i do keep him well fed, i think that is key with keeping them friendly with the other tank mates.  ]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.utahreefs.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=2655">jwoo</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 51834<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> October&nbsp;12&nbsp;2011 at 12:36pm<br /><br />Usually no they are not trained to eat frozen before you buy unless you buy from someone who has had one in their home for a long time - although some lions take to frozen pretty fast and some are a ton more stubborn. <br /><br />The setup I used for live food before I got mine on frozen was just a mason jar with an air bubbler in it and a bunch of ghost shrimp. Easy and cost me nothing as I had everything in the house already.]]>
