No, timers and a thermostat cannot do the same thing.  It's a computer and you put what "rules" in it you want it to follow. Each device is plugged into a special plug that is programmed into the computer.  Then you do a series of If/Then statements in the Neptune.  It is totally awesome.

I'm looking into a heating/cooling system that has a temp probe, and when the temp it too high, one plug/socket turns on the cooler and when it's too low the heater gets turned on. I'm looking for analog or digital temp solutions.
