Yea they take awhile man. Well it has made about an 1" of foam above the water and its growing I think that it will just take tone for it to reach the top. My hang on the back prizm has an adjustable flow valve on the intake. I turn mine up until its foaming to the top and slowly back it down so the bubbles just break at the top. Get a nice dark skim. It's done this since day one.

What model is it? 150/180...

Should be an air control, are you letting enough air in?

Yes its perfectly normal. Give it a day or 2 than foam will form. Than a couple days later skimmate will finally show up. My skimmer took about a week to produce anything. I got my new skimmer yearstoday and I set it up and have running now. I know that skimmers need to break-in but during this time is it normal for it to not produce foam/skimmate?
