Im just using construction pine doing it on a tight budget but I think I want either a dark stain or to paint it black to match the tank but wont decide till its finished

So as most of you know I already have a decently established 14gal Coralife Biocube, its been up for about 5 months and is doing rather well except that I dosed WAY to much when it was new and am now having some issues with high numbers.

Well up until recently it has been sitting on my entertainment center and doesn't look "pretty" so I have decided to build a stand and since I didn't think to start a thread with the tank I figured I would start one with the stand, and as I work up to my next tank add that in as I go.

Without further ado this is my progress thus far on the stand I've got the legs and the base cut out and am looking for any suggestions on 'how to' type stuff and best techniques.
