Ahhh a quad 96 - of course. That explains why my mind was having difficulties making sense of the look versus the dimensions and capacity.
Come over anytime and get a small sprig of red algae to try and I'll give you several types of tall Caulerpa.
If the phyto is alive and the light is bright enough, a phyto bloom will soon occur, like the one I had in the tank below. This was not the first time, nor the last that I had to deal with a phyto bloom in a new tank. Wacko

Squamosa and Crocea Clams cleared the water in about 3 days. A UV Sterilizer works quickly too.

just set it up the lights are blue and white the tank is 8 wide 10 tall and 14 long the pc is 24 inches and 96watt Compact Flo 50/50 Square Pin Bulb 17" Quad ok 17 inches lol clowdiness due to phyto and the acrylic is a little foggy.  it is brighter than the pict I took it with my phone yes mark I was going to hit u up about some decorative Macroalgae  not sure what V will grow though I know anything green will but the red stuff is that too bright for it

From the pic, I'd say that is not too much light and soft coral could grow okay. You may also want to try decorative Macroalgae for hitching posts and water clarity.
If that tank is only 8 gals then it must be quite shallow front to back. 96 W PC tubes are ~34" long. Is the tube all white?
Though the tank looks a lot like a 20L, if it is just 8 gals, my guess is that this tank measures approx. 36"Lx6"Dx10"T and that the light is 14" above the water. Is that about right?
I would not expect to view that kind of cloudiness in 6" of water. Is the cloudiness due to phytoplankton or just dust?

ok I have a 96 watt power comp. over a 10 inch tall fish tank it is 14 inches above the bottom of the tank  so here is the question

can I grow softies ie ricordia or do I have too much light?

sigustions of what to grow?

it is a dwarf seahorse tank aproximatly 8 gallons with 25ish seahorses
