K fellow Reefers, I am looking for help here!  This stuff is taking over my tank and at a very rapid pace.  It started (at first notice) about the size of a quarter and now 2 weeks later it is consuming about 40% of my LR.  Below are some picture links (I dont know how to get them in the thread).  If you know what it is and what will consume or dispose of it I would really appreciate some advice, it started out as a film type substance and is now going stringy and reaching about 4" off the base of itself.  Also I have tons of little white starfish on the glass of my tank, but they are constant lunch meat for something in my tank.  How big will they get if they dont get snacked on?

I am 99.999% sure that it is Cyano algea .. I use a product called Chem a Clean ... works well ... however there are other ways to get rid of it ... 1 is to increase your water movement .. 2 decrease your feeding ...

We had a thread or two about this same issue just a bit ago. You might want to do a search for cyano? Lots of advice, if I recall.....

If you don't find it, and still have questions, let us know?

Get the Ultra Life Red Slime remover.  In three days all that ugly will be gone.  I know that Bird World carries it.  It doesn't hurt anything else in the tank either.
