Who uses them? Which ones (Fuel, Vibrance, etc.)? How have they made a difference in your tank...if any?
There is a lot of snake oil out there...just trying to see if this is yet another one of those product lines...

I currently have Fuel from them but have not dosed it. It is pretty much the same as Reef Plus. The only thing I could find to be different was the Fuel had fatty acids in it that Reef Plus doesn't. I don't dose Reef Plus too often because it adds waste to your tank. If I had a skimmer on my nano I would dose more often.
These are not snake oil type supps. They were meant to give the LFS's an upper hand. You can't buy them from anywhere online. Only brick and mortar stores are allowed to carry. They give you less and cost more but are also more concentrated so it pays off.

Hey Eric, how often do you dose and how long do you shut down your skimmer for?

Hate to show my ignorance, but wouldn't the skimmer suck that out of the water column?

It would over time, This product doesn't make the skimmer go nuts so it is volume or time

I use AquaVitro Fuel weekly and Vibrance 3 times a week. I just mix the Fuel into the mix i feed the corals with and use a turkey baster to target feed with pumps off for 30 minutes. The Vibrance I just give a shot from the pipet into the return chamber to dose the tank.
I have noticed increased growth from all the corals since starting to use the products.

The Fuel is AMAZING!!!!
I have been dosing it for three weeks now and I have NEVER seen my corals so big and puffy and colorful. My Dad asked me what I was doing different for the tanks and I told him it was the Fuel by Aqua Vitro. The Seachem Reef Plus never made my tank look this good!

Ok, so can someone fill me in on these products and why they are so great? Do they make the coral grow faster? How? And are their any studies to show this?

Aqua Vitro is a Seachem company. They created this line for LFS ONLY. You can not sell the supps without a brick and mortar store. It is to combat the prices that people get online compared to LFS.
I have only used the Fuel but will be buying other stuff soon. It is way better than anything else I have ever used. I don't know of any studies but I can tell you that my SPS had stopped growing for about 2 weeks. Since I started the Fuel, EVERY branch has new growth on it.
I really am amazed with how well it worked for my tank.

Out of curiosity, if you are doing your weekly water change and you add fuel, won't that eventually lead up to a build up of trace minerals? i mean granted that your skimmer does remove some, but 10% water change adds quite a bit back to the system i would assume?
The vitamins may help, and the polyunsaturated fatty acids are always nice and do help the corals, but wouldn't u want to add these separate from the minerals?
This is just my take on it, this is why i don't dose fuel. If i am wrong, i will gladly try it!

I don't know of any studies but I have been using Fuel and Vibrance for about 3-4 months and the corals really seem to respond to it. It's not all that expensive, I think Fuel goes for under $10.00 a bottle, so for very little out of pocket you can try it and see for yourself if it benefits your tank.
I dose fuel every other day when I am home and mix the vibrance in with the food when feeding the corals about once a week. I bought an Iodide/Iodine test kit to test the iodine in the tank but it was fine after a month of dosing so I stopped testing for iodine regularly and just check it about once a month now.

I run my tanks skimmerless and haven't seen any adverse affects from using fuel.

For the last 10 days I have changed my regime a bit and have absolutely seen incredible results. Unfortunately, my only change has not just been AquaVitro. Here is what I have done:
Fuel: 2 x week x 28ml Vibrance: 1 x day 4ml CoralFrenzy: 2 x week x 1/2 tsp Salifert Amino Acid: 1 x week x 20ml
Everything else stayed the same as before in my regime.
All I can say is new coral growth has been amazing! Eric at MA says that the barometer in your tank is the Bali Green Slimer. I swear this thing was growing maybe .25" every week or so. In the last week it has grown at least .375" and maybe as much as .5"
So, its not scientific, but at least in the short term the above combination has helped my tank growth immensely.
