Topic: ATI bulb combination??? Posted: April 15 2013 at 3:49pm |
I need help picking out ATI bulbs for my RSM 250. I prefer a bluish look to the tank so right now I'm thinking 2x Coral Plus, 2x Purple Plus and one each of Blue Plus and a True Actinic. Anyone have any other suggestions or do u think this will give the desired look. Thank you in advance.

I would try 4 blue+ and 2 purple+ if you like a bluer look..... buy the coral+ bulb, and then if you don't like how blue replace a blue+.... but if your going say 3 blue+, 2purple+ and a coral+ it would be a more 50/50 look

Thank you for the response. I think I'm gonna do the 3xblue plus, 2x purple plus and one coral plus. That should have a nice white balance but still get the color pop as well right? I should have specified better before I like a blue tint but not the full blown washed out blue look.

I'm running 8 bulbs with 4 blue +, 2 purple +, 1 coral + and 1 aquablue special. Next time, I'll run 2 aquablue special instead of the coral +.

I recently bought a kz superblue to try out and like it more than the blue plus. The blue plus bulbs have gone more green and I don't like it. The superblue is a deeper blue and fluoresces colors better.

Ok haha im thoroughly confused without actually being able to see the color, sorry I came from LED's to this tank so still trying to figure out T5's. So the setup I was thinking with 3 Blue +, 2 Purple + and a Coral Plus should produce something in the 14-15000K range right? I'm 99% that's the combo I want just waiting to hit the order button lol
