I am looking to replace my MH bulbs but unsure as to the type of ballast I have as some bulbs require certain types of ballasts to run properly.  I purchased my setup as a whole and this came with it and I could use some help identifying what type of ballast this is.  Here is a picture of it.  Are there any bulbs that would be an issue with this?  Thanks

Looks more like a old computer desktop than a ballast

Sorry, we cannot tell from looking at the outside box.
Looks like a UPS (Universal Power Supply) box to me.
My guess is that someone used the box to house the ballasts.

Are these Mogul base or Double ended bulbs? If Mogul, the size is printed right on the bulb. Tell/show us more. We might need to see inside that box.

That's what I was thinking that it looks more like something for a computer setup.  It certainly doesn't look like other ballasts that I've seen.  I have been using 250W single ended bulbs and the ones I got last year worked just fine but wanted to get a different set.  As I was researching out bulbs, some of the bulbs appear to require certain types of ballasts to fire up properly.  I just didn't want to waste money on some bulbs if they weren't going to work so that's what started my question.  If it is a UPS box will that be a problem with some of the bulbs?  I will check to see if I can take the cover off and take another picture.

Well I looked on the back and it is a Deltec T1500 UPS.  Does anyone know if I'll have any trouble with firing up any of the 250W SE bulbs?

A UPS is basically a battery back up power supply so when the power goes out the lights don't go off. It doesn't have anything to do with the ballasts other than to supply them with power.
Yep, that's my money pit......It keeps me broke and entertained.
