So I've heard a bunch of horror stories about BTA's getting stuck in Powerheads and filters. I have 2 maxijets in my tank and both of them have the cylinder attachment over the intake that prevents small fish and what not from getting sucked in, is this enough, or should I wrap these in bridal vale? Also, I have an Aqua Clear HOB filter, and the intake is similar to the ones on the powerheads.... Opinions anyone?
Thanks,
Tim

I purchased a green bubble tip and it did great for the first two days I installed hagen sponge fillters over the intakes and some how the BTA knocked one off and got munched up pretty good he got sucked up inside .Made a big mess glad im glad that I had a good skimmer!I wasn't running the strainer on the powerhead just the sponge they like intake current.
