Often I see a few bubbles form under the skin of 2 of my birdsnest corals.  The bubbles either burst or go away and the corals seem just fine.  I'm not too concerned just would like to know why it happens.  I have a heavy sps dominant tank and all corals are growing very well.

Parameters
cal. 420
alk 10
mag 1420
nitrites 0
nitrates 0
phosphates 0

Looks just like this

I found this photo and post on this forum, but it didn't provide me with much information.

My experience with these on SPS and LPS coral leads me to believe that they are not disease but rather simple, often temporary aberrations. Though I have had coral where the bubble was more permanent, it seemed innocuous to the rest of the coral.

bubbling sps = usually high calcium or unstable calc...double check with different kit, always goes away when parameter is fixed, cheers.
