I have looked for this for some time now.  $8 per gallonish jug.

Been there, used that..   I have actually used many many gallons of the homemade 2-part over the years.   For  the Ca part I used that Prestone from Home Depot.  I have almost used the whole container of prestone.  With a Ca reactor my requirements for the 2- part has been drastically reduced the last couple of years.  My only concern with the homemade stuff is possibly providing side nutrients that may increase algae.  I run the Fe based PO4 remover and Carbon which I hoped may reduce that possibilty.  Oh yeah, my other concern was changing the balance of the Saltwater mix due to the volume of extra Na and Cl I was adding to the tank.  So far no problems.

John, many people have used the Prestone Driveway Heat without problem.  The manufacturer claims that it's just repackaged Dow Peladow, which is just anhydrous Dowflake, which Randy Holmes-Farley tested on GC-MS and found clean of contaminates.

Who is Randy Holmes-Farley?  Pretty cool that it was tested using that type of equipment...I'm not sure if my former employer would have let me us theirs.
I guess I'll buy a couple of containers.

Thanks a bunch!
