I am building a control center out of x10 modules that will control the lights and heater on my tank. My question is, if I daisy chain 3 outlets and then tie that line into an extension chord (7 feet) that will plug into the wall outlet and then have another 3 outlets that do the same thing so I can have them on different circuits, will this pull to much power through the extension chord? Anyone see a problem with what I'm planning on doing?

if you use a extension cord that is rated for the load you will be fine, I.E. use a cord rated for say a air conditioner, more than you need but safer is better than sorry.
