I want to get an Aussie Elegance because I hear they are easier to keep then the indo ones. Is Catalaphyllia jardinei an Indo Elegance?

Thanks

You definately want an Aussie, not the indo.

I have an aussie that was actually a frag/captive propegated.  It is doing great!

Aussies usually do better, but in the last year I have seen some good specimens coming in from a couple of Indonesia suppliers.

My understanding of the problem is there is a widespread disease that effects the indos only.  Or rather they are all (or nearly all) infected.  They aussies don't have that problem as long as they aren't ever in the same system as an indo.  Mine does great and it a wonderful snail killerAngry (you should see the pile of snail shells under it).  I read that somewhere just dismissed it until the shells started piling up around it.  Any snail unlucky enough to fall in is the next meal!

Thats funny, my elegance has the same problem with snails.

I have no idea what kind mine is, is there a way to tell? It's been doing very well since I got it 3 months ago despite my clowns hosting in it. I herd that was bad for them but the elegance doesn't seem to mind so far.

Heres a pic, if anyone can tell the difference-
