The pump on my euroreef skimmer has gone bad.  The original pump is a Sedra brand.  Does anyone know of other pump/s that will fit this skimmer?  Can Sedra pumps be purchased anywhere along the wasatch front?

Go to Marine Aquatics, they should have them in stock.

If not at M. A.  Then MSM is a sales rep for them.  But try Eric and Dan first.

It could be your impeller assembly- impeller magnetic rotor shafts that corrode and swell can prevent the pump from working properly- it happened on the Sedra that powers my Euroreef.  You can usually tell it's the impeller shaft if it's hard to get started, and also if you see a bulging part of the magnet area of the shaft.

Roger,

Have you tried cleaning it by running it for 12 hours in 1 part distilled vinegar to 3 parts RO water? I got that from the manual. I just did it on mine last week and it is running fine again.
