Here is the scoop,
I have a 29Gal. nano that I set up to feed my addiction while my house was re-built and I could get my 210 set-up. I transfered most of the contents to the 210, and it has been running for about 11 months.
the issue is the nano, I left about 15-20lbs of live rock and live sand in it, a few snails, a couple of softies, and kept it running. In the 11 months I have done one small water change, and just added RO makeup water. I didn't test, I figured why? not much of a load in the tank. My goal was/is to set it up as a Seahorse tank.
Well surprise surprise, it crashed hard a few days ago, snails died, softies dissolved, looks like kaw kaw (sp?)
So my question is do I ......
A. flush all the water, really clean the sand and rock(which I would assume would kill anything alive) and mix new water and start fresh?
B. Flush most (80%) of the water, rinse the rock off and siphon the sand as I am emptying it, and fill it with water from my next water change from the 210Gal?
C. just stick with the 210Gal, because most men can't pay attention to two things at once?
D.????
Any thoughts or advice very welcome!
Thanks
Randy
