I have a perc clown and a rose anenome.  He loves that anenome so much that anytime my wrasse swims past it, he attacks my wrasse.  In fact, my clown pretty much will beat my wrase up whenever he is out.  Will all clowns act this way?  I am thinking about trading him in or selling him here.  Any opinions??

I have a 29 gallon biocube with just my clown and the wrasse.  It has been up for about a month and a half now and I have about 35 lbs of LR.

Thanks,

Tyler

How much deeper would the ocean be if sponges didn't grow in it?

If you're in hell, and are mad at someone, where do you tell them to go?

Some percs are certainly more agressive than others.  It's a little surprising that it's attacking the wrasse when it's the only clownfish in the tank.  Usually they become more agressive when they are getting ready to spawn.  It's protecting it's 'nest'.  You could either get another smaller clownfish to pair up with the one you have or just get rid of this one and try another one.  If you pair it up, it will still probably be agressive though - but then it might have babies as well.

Perc's are weird, don't get me wrong, I love mine (jimmy and page) but they are pretty random in who they chose to be aggressive towards and who they don't care about.  Mine have been really cool with all of my fish (diamond Goby, Yellow Clown Goby, and Purple Firefish) but I tried to move 2 chromis that I had living in my nano to my main tank and they killed them... so who knows.  I'd say add a second perc and see if that helps, or get rid of the one you have and then introduce two juveniles together.

Good Luck
