I have always hated my KH tests.  When using the brand "Aqua test" I can get very different results if I do the test twice in a row.  Because of this I deiced to get another brand test kit.  This one however measures is it ppm, which Im not used to.  What levels do you guys keep you alk in ppm?

Is the a formula to go from ppm to DKH, or are they two different test.  I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to the different alk tests.

With Aqua test I get 13 dKH
With Hagen I get 110 ppm.

So with one test I get a high reading, and the other I'm getting a low....

Indefinite hiatus from sw aquariums.

Once I have my glorious return I'll set back up the following.
50 Gallon rimless cube.
180 Gallons mixed reef paradise

I used Hagen a long time ago. Garbage tests that were never right for me.

Go buy Elos or even Salifert.

API tests are supposed to be alright too.

Here is a conversion tool.

http://www.saltyzoo.com/SaltyCalcs/AlkConv.php
