Topic: phytoplankton/zooplankton feeding Posted: December 15 2010 at 12:32pm |
I was wondering what people are doing for phytoplankton/zooplankton feeding. I have lots of zoa, leathers, gorgonians, and some sps. i don't have any LPS other than some candy cane corals. I haven't ever feed any phytoplankton/zooplankton and was wondering if I should be and what people are getting to do it? Thanks in advance.

I highly recommend whatever you can do, from smashing the last few bits of food that you fed the fish, to growing phytoplankton to supply the bottom of the food chain.

Growing phyto is easy and I used to always have a bubbler in a 2 liter bottle bubbling away making up alittle green goodness lol. That was until I learned about the phyto paste that brine shrimp dirrect sells. Its like 100 times more concentrated and you can buy a bottle and dump it into small feeder cubes and freeze it. About once a week i just toss a cube in my tank. It turns the water slightly green for an hour or so, and the corals LOVE it!

I believe the Tahitian Blend is a combo of several of them. I choose that one.
