Well thanx to this board I have had success on my 80 gallon tank. I like the way it is growing. I decided about 3 months ago that I was going to do build a headboard (was freshwater) built a cheesy stand with good plans and all the fish (petsmart) iched and died. SOOOO I tear it down(55 gallon acrylic for 45$ at a freshwater meeting) and start gathering parts.... Extra LS and LR a little lighting ext. Build my stand and get it up and running and am now adding a few fish. Do to it being acyilic I fear to kick up and real lighting so it will stay FO. Alot of people asked for pics..... here is a quicky...Blurry but funny

You could put an octopus in there, then spend the night awake wondering when it is going to get out and crawl all over you!

That is a way cool idea. (The tank in the headboard).

Can you plumb it in to the rest of the water bed?

A waterbed refugium... now that would be Cutting Edge!

Damon & I were just talking about a saltwater waterfall/pond, wondering if it would work.  I think our verdict was that when the neighbor's cat ate a $100 tang, there would be a big problem.

Renee, get an anti-cat device (Dog) or put a Saltwater crododile in it!  I still bet the evaporation would be a killer for you.

Saltwater waterfall?  Would you get some Salmon so they could spawn?

I tried a waterfall and long creek in Texas around our yard.  When it did not rain I had lots of problems trying to get enough water through it.  When it did rain, I had lots of problems trying to get enough water out of it.  I would not do that again!

Thats a really cool set up.  I have always suspected so too.  I have a 55 gallon tank and have been close to doing this with oak and incorperating the tank into the bedframe and headboard.  In fact...If I dont have to move when I retire this october I may just do that as  a matter of fact after seeing your set up!  I like the idea even more than before....

And that anemone is cool too!  Is it really that bright orange?  What kind is it?  Also, let me know if you have any problems with the eel escaping.  I want one later too!

on all my SW tanks with eels I have a board across the back that I notch out for whatever accesories I am putting in. THat way the eels or whatever would really have to try hard to get out. I lost a moray early on.... Not again. Yea the anemone is ok.... He really is that orange.... VERY LOW MAINTENACE
