Topic: Rio Seios... Posted: July 12 2005 at 1:06am |

Hello,
I got some Seios last week (2x 1100’s for my 90)
And just wanted to let everyone know I think they kick ass.
If you are scared of buying them like I was ... be ... well, less scared.
They are big and ugly but they put off great flow, less heat
And use less energy.
Ryan
I will post pics later this week.

I have been using two 620's for about 6 months now and haven't had any problems with them. A good alternative to the Tunze pumps, but not nearly the flow. Ryan did you take the face cover off of them and mount them like a Tunze?

I mounted mine like yours Brad. I like it. Great for a little tank where you don't want a closed loop. For a big tank I don't think they would do enough.

I agree Adam, I would definately want a Tunze for a larger tank, but for my 65g I love the Seio's. I just hope they hold up for a good long time.

I run 2 Seio 1500's in my 150G and they really get the job done. Even if they only last a few years I figure they're still much cheaper than Tunzes....they only cost me 60 bucks. I am also running a closed loop underneath the substrate and a closed loop at the top of the tank, along with the return from my sump and fuge.....but the majority of my current comes from the SEIOS, and so far I am extremely happy with them.

yeah I have mine mounted like above. They rock.
lots of random current, lots of polyp, not a lot of price.
but, If anyone wants to trade me for tunzes PM me.
