I picked up a used nano the other day for my wife, but it was cleaned wrong, and now has a bunch of scratches in the plastic.  I've 0000 steel wooled out the major part of it but need something to give it back a polish--anyone know what I can use to do so?  Thanks, Nate
Was that in there yesterday? Casper--WY windier than ?

Down to a 20, soon to double or nothing

I heard somewhere that you can use toothpaste on acrylic to polish out scratches... although I dont have any acrylic tanks to test it on...

Has anyone tried the Novus products?  I've used them before, but not on acrylic tanks.

Novus 1 is a nonabrasive cleaner.  Novus 2 is a mild abrasive/polish for fine scratch removal.  Novus 3 is a more aggresive abrasive/polish for major scratch removal.

I wouldn't use the Novus 3 on acrylic, but if someone has tried Novus 2 on acrylic, I'd be very interested in their results.

I've heard one common use for Novus products is cleaning and removing scratches from acrylic windshields on airplanes.  I've used it before in restoring/cleaning collector quality pinball machines.

I've bought them from suppliers on the web and seen them automotive paint stores.

Try the boat shops, I used to buy something (Can't remember the name of it) to take the scratches out of my "plastic" windshield, I also used it on my eyeglasses.  It worked great!

I used Novus 2 on an acrylic nano tank. It worked pretty well. I got it and the buffing wheel at Regional Supply.

I polished the outside corners of the tank, not the inside. Does anyone know if the inside would need cleaning before adding animals?
