I have a Peppermint Shrimp in my tank and he motled (my wife discovered the exoskeleton this morning). I had been doing some reading and wondering if in the future I should leave the molted carcas in the tank (apparently the crabs eat it and it is a good nutrient source?) or did I do the right thing in having her remove it?
 
My tank is 29gal.

I leave them cause Im lazy. Either way is fine.
